Car maintenance tips

Car enthusiasts' love for their vehicles is beyond imagination, with some even comparing their beloved cars to their significant others. As cars are consumables, the daily exposure to wind and sun, along with unexpected events, can bring both emotional and financial "harm" to the owners. Therefore, how to take care of their beloved cars has become an unavoidable issue.

Car enthusiasts have an unimaginable love for their vehicles, with some even comparing their beloved cars to their significant others. As cars are consumables, daily exposure to the elements and unexpected events can bring both spiritual and financial 'harm' to the owners. How to take care of their beloved cars has become an unavoidable issue.

As a seasoned car owner, when it comes to car maintenance, many car friends likely have their own tricks: finding friends, leveraging connections, comparing prices... They choose the most economical and effective methods based on experience. However, these traditional methods also have certain drawbacks. Even the most familiar shops may over-maintain, causing unnecessary burdens for the owners. 'Experienced drivers' combine their maintenance experiences to share some 'dry goods' with everyone, filtering out what does not need frequent protection and what must be protected, hoping to be of help to everyone.

Necessary maintenance needs attention for future endurance.

It is recommended to perform the first maintenance at 1,000 kilometers, and then every 5,000 kilometers thereafter. The air filter, cabin filter, and fuel filter should be replaced every 20,000 kilometers, while spark plugs and CVT transmission oil should be replaced every 100,000 kilometers. These are the maintenance rules for most sedans, but within these commonalities, there are specific characteristics that car owners need to pay attention to.

Typically, the engine is a key factor affecting fuel consumption. Any issues with components, such as dirty oil, clogged spark plugs, inaccurate ignition timing, faulty ignition coils, injector failures, or fuel pump issues, can affect the engine's combustion efficiency, thereby increasing fuel consumption. Therefore, these parts should be maintained every 30,000 kilometers. If one tries to save on maintenance costs but ends up increasing fuel consumption and causing engine failures, this is clearly not a wise choice. Of course, important components like spark plugs and injectors have intelligent systems that can detect issues like carbon buildup and provide timely alerts.

The brake fluid should be maintained approximately every 30,000 kilometers; otherwise, it may lead to brake failure, making driving very dangerous.

Another point worth noting for car friends is that some new cars need to change the oil during their first maintenance. If oil maintenance is performed, it is possible that the first oil is not completely drained, leading to excessive oil in the second change, which can submerge the crankshaft in oil and create excessive resistance. Under the same driving conditions, the engine load will increase, causing the computer to increase the fuel injection pulse width (injection time) and RPM, thus requiring more power, resulting in increased instantaneous fuel consumption and ultimately leading to an overall increase in fuel consumption and other adverse effects.
